Our Editorial Policy
Who writes our articles
Every article on this blog carries one of two kinds of byline, and the byline tells you how it was made.
A named author. The article was written by that person, or drafted with AI assistance and then edited and fact-checked by them, in which case a note under the byline says so and names them. Either way, the named author is accountable for what the article says. Articles we publish today are reviewed by Sean Flannery, our Enterprise Logistics Specialist, before they go live.
The Locate2u Editorial Team. Some articles are drafted with AI assistance and published by the Locate2u team rather than written by one person. These carry the Locate2u Editorial Team byline and a visible disclosure under the headline that reads "Drafted with AI assistance and published by the Locate2u Editorial Team." We do not put a person's name on an article that person did not write or edit.
Our older articles
In October 2026 we reviewed the archive. Where a staff member's original article had been overwritten, we restored their text under their name. Articles that had been published under a staff member's name without being written by them were moved to the Locate2u Editorial Team byline and given the AI disclosure. Articles our staff wrote stay under their names. Some older articles were written by former contributors or guest authors. These show the original writer's name and the Locate2u team member who reviewed and updated them.
What we never do
We do not fabricate statistics, dollar figures, percentages, customer quotes, or case study numbers. Every quantified claim links to a real, citable source. We never invent customer experiences or put words in real operators' mouths. If we cannot source a number, we do not publish the number.
How we handle competitors
Competitor comparisons are factual and respectful. We don't trash competitors. We don't link to them. We compare on verifiable features and pricing that any reader can confirm independently from the competitor's own published material.
Corrections
Spotted an error? Email [email protected]. We correct quickly and visibly. Substantive corrections are noted in the post; the dateModified field on the post is bumped only when the body or recommendations have substantively changed, never to artificially refresh ranking signals.
What we use AI for
Drafting, structure, summarisation, and research. Not for fact generation. Not for impersonating named experts. Not for fabricating reviews. AI assists the writer; it does not replace the editor. No AI-assisted draft is published until someone at Locate2u has reviewed it, and every AI-assisted article says so under its byline.
